Founder and President
Maddie Choi
How long have you been playing squash?
Since 2023
What do you enjoy most about playing squash?
I like squash because it is chess on legs. You combine strategy, fitness, mental and physical stamina in a high intensity game in a confined space.
Why do you believe in the mission for Rally for Squash?
Dallas lacks the infrastructure and resources necessary to play squash. I believe that through this nonprofit, we will be able to promote this niche sport so that middle and high school students, and especially girls can be introduced to and enjoy this sport as much as I do.
Maddie is a 10th grader at The Hockaday School in Dallas, TX. Maddie competes competitively in Junior Silver and Gold tournaments for GU17. Outside of squash, she enjoys playing tennis, traveling, taking pictures, and spending time with her friends and family.

What do you enjoy most about playing squash? Squash is both a physical and mental game - it's quick, intense, and a battle of reflexes and strategy. It teaches you how to focus and be super present in the moment.
Why do you believe in the mission for Rally for Squash?
I truly believe that by sharing my joy of squash with kids who haven't had a chance to experience it, I can pay it forward.
